|| Sir Ira Neimark is a legendary retail executive. As Chairman and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman, he set records for the company over the 17 years of his masterful leadership. He also distinguished himself in top management / merchandising posts at the Neiman Marcus Group, B. Altman, Fox, Gladdings and Bonwit Teller.
Sir Ira Neimark is a Director of both The Fashion Institute of Technology Foundation and Hermes of Paris. He also was Adjunct Professor of Retail Marketing at the Columbia University Business School. The President of Italy knighted Sir Ira Neimark the highest ranking honour and most senior order, Cavaliere Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, for “merit acquired by the nation”. The Minister of Culture of France knighted Sir Ira Neimark the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, for his “significant contribution to the enrichment of the French cultural inheritance.” He was also awarded the Medal of the City of Paris.
